I will start with the oldest person in my family my Grandfather Mr. John Dsouza pet name ‘Dennis’.
He is very cheerful in nature always helping out people and loves socialising. Years ago he used to run a catering business ‘Renita Caterer’s’ a family business since most of the members cook so well! My grandfather used to prepare a signature dish ‘Sorpotel’ ohh I still get the taste on the tip of my tongue each time I think about it.
Although he is strict in nature, he loves all the family members very much and sees to it that all are happy. One main quality about my grandfather is that he is a cleanliness freak! He is very particular about everything at home. Not only at home but sees to it that the entire village is clean. So much that the officers in the BMC office know my grandfather so well, that many calls have been done until now so you all can imagine what a cleanliness freak my grandfather is.
Talking about the village every household every person in the village or I should say Bandra! knows my grandfather. At times when I roam around, people call out to me saying, “Dennis’s granddaughter”. And that’s how I came to know the amount of goodwill my grandfather has created, the bond he has in the society, the amount of closeness with family and friends. He has taught me so much since childhood, things I’ll never forget!
So that was about my evergreen Grandpa!
